Grillo ist eine weiße Rebsorte aus Sizilien, die für ihre hohe Säure und ihre Fähigkeit, frische und aromatische Weine zu produzieren, bekannt ist. Die Trauben sind mittelgroß und haben eine grünlich-gelbe Farbe.
Grillo wird hauptsächlich auf Sizilien angebaut. Weitere Anbaugebiete sind in geringem Umfang auch in Kalabrien und Apulien zu finden.
Charakteristische Grillo-Weine haben Aromen von Zitrusfrüchten, grünen Äpfeln und manchmal auch floralen Noten. Sie sind meist trocken und haben eine lebendige Säure, die ihnen Frische und Struktur verleiht. Diese Weine passen hervorragend zu Fischgerichten und leichten mediterranen Speisen.
